Family Engagement

Communication

My plan for engaging in regular, two-way communication with parents and families is to build a strong partnership that supports each child's learning and development. I will communicate with families through daily conversations, emails, phone calls, classroom newsletters, and a school-approved communication app. I will share updates about children's progress, classroom activities, accomplishments, and areas where they may need additional support.

I also want families to feel comfortable sharing information about their child's interests, strengths, challenges, and experiences at home. I will encourage parents to ask questions, share concerns, and provide feedback so we can work together to meet their child's individual needs. Parent-teacher conferences will provide opportunities to discuss progress, set goals, and develop strategies to support learning both at school and at home.

I understand that every family has different schedules, communication preferences, and language needs. I will make an effort to communicate in ways that are convenient and accessible for each family, including providing translated materials or interpretation when needed. I will also respect each family's culture, background, and privacy.

By maintaining consistent, respectful, and open communication, I hope to build trust with families and create a supportive classroom community. I believe that when teachers and families work together, children feel more confident, supported, and motivated to learn.
