2). 2. Counting and Sorting Household Objects
Materials: Large blocks, toy cars, plastic cups, or other safe household objects.
Activity: Parents can ask children to count objects, group them by color or size, compare which group has more or fewer items, and create simple patterns.

3).Drawing and Practicing Name Writing
Materials: Paper, crayons, washable markers, and a name card.
Activity: Parents can encourage their child to draw a picture of their family, favorite animal, or favorite activity. They can provide a name card for the child to copy, trace, or practice writing.

Home-based educational activities allow families to become active partners in their children's learning. Reading together, practicing math with everyday objects, and creating artwork provide meaningful opportunities to develop school-readiness skills. These activities are inexpensive, easy to adapt to different developmental levels, and help children connect what they learn in the classroom with their experiences at home. They also strengthen family relationships by making learning an enjoyable part of everyday life.
